The Futures Curriculum at Education Futures Academy represents the University of South Australia’s commitment to accessible education. Our suite of programs combines innovative learning with practical skills, preparing students for tomorrow’s challenges while ensuring educational opportunities remain open to all. Foster Students' Reflective Practice

Computational Thinking

Discover how computational thinking can transform student learning across all subject areas. This program helps students develop powerful problem-solving habits through key processes like decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, algorithm design and debugging.

Horror and Suspense

This 10 week unit focuses on visual and thematic features common in the Horror and Suspense genre. It features a student workbook and teaching materials for four tasks and an assessment.

STEM Girls Academy

The Academy connects girls from several ages through their passion to STEM and instil a sense of belonging. It also assist in the building of key capacities for success and offer practical support such as mentoring and career development and advice.

STEM Day Out

STEM Day Out features three workshops, each tied to a UniSA degree. In the Science Workshop (Aviation), students explore the science of flight; in the Engineering Workshop, they design and build the tallest tower possible; and in the Perplexing Puzzles Workshop (Mathematical Sciences), they solve brain-teasers using mathematical thinking
