Purpose and Objectives:
By the end of this course, your students will:
- Understand the key components of Systems
- Investigate an issue with their local environment
- Apply systems thinking to create a potential solution for an issue within your local environment
Course Structure:
This course consists of three self-paced modules that will take you through the core principles of systems thinking through an ecological lens. After mastering the concepts, you will have the opportunity to (1), apply the new knowledge in your classroom, and (2) engage with a reflexive assignment. The expected time commitment for this online unit of work is 45-60 minutes per module. We have included a teacher reflection assignment which can be submitted at any time.
