Content Structure

The design of this course prioritizes interactivity and collaboration. To facilitate this approach, the course follows the subsequent structure:

  • Main Content: The course will run for 4 weeks. Each week, you will have a 5-minute video available with an overview for that week. This forms the basic content you need to follow for the course.
  • Complementary Content: This includes exclusive interviews with professionals in the industry, content videos, and suggested readings.
  • Learning Activities: To apply your learning, you will be invited to collaborate on our discussion board, respond to quizzes, and engage in collaborative work on boards using Mural (no login required).
  • Community: Our LinkedIn group will serve as the heart of our networking and shared knowledge. We will share all the signals and trends related to the future of AI in education.

Week 1: Introduction to Futures Thinking in Education

  • Understand the core concepts and principles of Futures Thinking
  • Explore the relevance and importance of Futures Thinking in the context of education and AI integration
  • Identify the skills and mindset required to become a futurist

Week 2: Forecasting Skills

  • Identify and collect relevant signals of change
  • Analyse and categorize signals of change to identify underlying factors driving educational transformation
  • Integrate signals of change and drivers of educational transformation to create informed forecasts considering 10-year timeframes

Week 3: Simulation Skills

  • Comprehend the concept and significance of simulation
  • Learn and apply simulation techniques
  • Explore alternative futures of AI in education

Week 4: Collaboration Skills

  • Understand the foundations of a collaborative foresight
  • Use emotions to imagine and play with future scenarios
  • Use techniques to anticipate hard-to-predict scenarios and consequences
