Careers Compass 10

The Careers Compass 10 Program utilises UniSA pre-service teachers and psychology placement students to empower your Year 10 students by facilitating personalised one-on-one 30-minute life and career aspiration guidance chats. This will inform your students and allow them to gain clarity around their future aspirations beyond school, as well as provide guidance about their Year 11 and 12 subject choices, tailored to your school.

Your school receives individualised student reports created from each student’s one-on-one guidance chats detailing their values, strengths, life motivators, goals, future career aspirations and a wishlist of subject choices. In addition, you will receive a collated spreadsheet containing all of the Year 10 students’ chat responses, plus a Year 10 cohort-wide statistical summary report based on how your students have responded, including senior subject interests and Vocational Education Training/School Based Apprenticeship interest.

The UniSA students will also provide your teachers and school students with curriculum support in a classroom support role for two days. UniSA students can work one-on-one with school students and in small groups to complete school work under teacher supervision and guidance.
