Careers Compass 10

The Careers Compass 10 Program utilises Adelaide University pre-service teachers and psychology placement students to empower your Year 10 students by facilitating personalised one-on-one 30-minute life and career aspiration guidance chats. These chats will support your students in gaining clarity about their future aspirations beyond school, as well as guide them on creating a Year 11 and 12 subject wish-list, tailored to your school.

Your school will receive individualised student reports created from each student’s one-on-one guidance chat, detailing their values, strengths, life motivators, goals, future career aspirations and a wish-list of subject choices. In addition, you will receive a spreadsheet collating all of the Year 10 cohort’s chat responses, plus a Year 10 cohort-wide statistical summary report reflecting on how your students have responded, including senior subject interests, Vocational Education Training, and School-Based Apprenticeship interests.

The Adelaide University students will also provide your teachers and school students with curriculum support in a classroom support role for one or two days. Adelaide University students can work one-on-one with school students or in small groups to support your students’ learning, under teacher supervision and guidance.
