Familiarising Yourself with the Kit

The Arduino Ninjas kit available from the Education Futures Team contains all the sensors, components and processors that you will need to complete these courses. You can also expand your kit using readily available components from your local electronics store. The Arduino Uno is a 5V logic level board and should therefore work with most components easily. The exceptions to this are high power components, such as motors which need an external driver circuit, and some specialist sensors that use 3.3V logic, which will require a level shifter.

If you are simply using the supplied Arduino Ninjas kit, then you should not have any of these problems.
