Introduction – Case study

In the next and final module, you’ll be finding an issue in your local systems and try to generate solutions. But first, we’ll look at what happens when we introduce something new into a system.

Watch the below video through once. Your teacher may play it for you as a class.

Can you see different systems within this park interacting with a larger ecosystem?

Your teacher may lead the next few steps, or ask you to do them yourselves.

  1. Choose a category: (A) Mammals/amphibians/reptiles, (B) Birds, (C) Vegetation, or (D) Non-living features
  2. Watch the video again, taking a note of different nodes within your category
  3. Discuss in groups how your category was affected by the reintroduction of the wolf (the change to the system)
