The equipment in the starter kit provided to each school is designed to help get students started, should you want to purchase additional equipment a list of suppliers can be found here.

Coding Kits

Arduino Grove Beginner Kit (as supplied in the starter pack) can be purchased from Seed Studio, note these prices are in USD, or they can be purchased locally from Core Electronics

The Duinotech kits with Arduino Uno Boards (as supplied in the starter pack) can be purchased from Electus 

If your school is using the Duinotech kits with Arduino Mega boards (as supplied in previous years) and wish to purchase more, these are available from Jaycar

Additional components such as ultrasonic or infra red sensors can be purchased from Altronics.

If schools are interested in soldering and learning about electronics components a variety of Electronics Kits can be purchased from UniSA Outreach. We have kits including Game 4, which contains 16 functions built into the board and is a great entry level board, over engineered to cope with backwards LEDs and other common errors to ensure the students get the kit functioning. We also have more advanced kits including Music Matcher which creates an octave of capacitive touch keys allowing simple tunes to be played, as well as in built memory and reaction rate games.

  • The 3D printed camera model used in the engineering task can be printed using the following stl file, or contact STEMIEunisa.edu.au to arrange an order if you don’t have access to a 3D printer and need additional pieces.

  • The engineering track in on a vinyl mat as displayed at the student workshop. This can be recreated using the dimensions supplied, but should you want to use the exact same printed mat this can be purchased from PrintLord by requesting the UniSA Printed Banner (Target Map). The cost of this mat is $180 +GST.
