Welcome

STEM Showdown is a program aimed at year 5/6 students designed to promote STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in the classroom. 

Students participate in a series of STEM challenges and collect points by completing the main task, and additional points for completing the extension activities. Points are tallied on a spreadsheet over the course of a term to find out who is the STEM Showdown Champion and Runner Up STEM Showdown Champion.

Teachers can also identify students for the category awards:

• Creativity Award
• Persistence Award
• Encouragement Award

Trophies and medals for category prizes will be supplied to the school by The University of South Australia. 

At the end of the program teachers send in their results along with names of the students. University of South Australia participation certificates will be supplied for all students that were involved and training and development certificates for the teachers that have delivered the program. 

Please note, trophies, medals and certificates will only be supplied to schools that have been enrolled in the program.
